Every day is an Adventure #7

We got in a new family of foster pups and mom last night.  I think we are now at our house’s physical capacity for doggies!  I felt compelled to do a photographic census to chronicle how they have taken over the house:

If you are keeping count, that is 13 dogs in the house right now! Fortunately for me, the new mom will do all the heavy lifting with the puppies, Mama Irelyn needs to start getting used to being around other dogs–so her move downstairs is definitely needed–and Emmitt von giant head mostly stays in his crate to stop him from itching.  All in all I would say the current setup is pretty easy to manage

In other news, we decided to run a giveaway/contest for a Wisdom Panel 3.0 dog DNA test.  Rules are simple, submit a photo of the dog you want to test, then share with friends and family to accumulate the most votes possible.  I’m looking forward to seeing all the entries and the eventual results of the test.

We had Sully DNA tested when we first got him.  He came back as Boxer/AmStaff mix.   I’m glad we did it, because my curiosity would have driven me nuts if we hadn’t.

Darby has been, slowly but surely, improving over the last few days.  He is set to go to his halfway house tomorrow and finish up his recovery there.   The prognosis has gotten progressively more positive with each passing day so I am feeling hopeful that he will be back in our house sooner rather than later.  He is really funny with puppies so I’ll be looking forward to seeing him with this new litter.  His medical bills are pretty steep so, if you haven’t already, please share his fundraising page and video.  I am so thankful to have such a wonderful medical team that supports our rescue.
