Guys and gals! This is a perfect illustration of something I believe is one of the largest hurdles in acclimating dogs to one another. Let me explain…so u see how, immediately after correcting Gandhi, Abby looks at me like she is expecting to be disciplined? I’ve never done so, but if I did, she would learn to skip this step and go right to fighting(if annoyed). Corrections like this are of paramount importance in dog/dog interactions because it lets THEM set boundaries for each other instead of me. Also, notice how Gandhi is unharmed. That all said, right after the second correction I stepped in and stopped him from pawing at her because he wasn’t getting it, which is when the escalation occurs(and would prolly lead to a fight or an injured Gandhi)
